FC Barcelona is intensifying its scrutiny of Paris Saint-Germain and has reportedly set its sights on David Boly, a 17-year-old talent developed in Paris. This promising right-back, who has already been called up to Luis Enrique's professional squad and notably summoned to face Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 in November, is now a target for the Blaugranas.
The rivalry between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona has long extended beyond the pitch, particularly in the transfer market. Neymar's resounding departure in 2017 for 222 million euros remains a powerful symbol. More recently, the case of Dro Fernandez, an 18-year-old talent from La Masia who chose PSG over Barcelona, reignited tensions.
In response to these moves, FC Barcelona is now interested in David Boly. According to _The Parisian_, this 17-year-old right-back, trained in Paris, has already participated in training with the professional group under Luis Enrique in October. He was then called up in November for the Ligue 1 match against Olympique Lyonnais.
Although he did not feature in that game against Olympique Lyonnais, nor in subsequent matches against Le Havre AC, Monaco, or Rennes, David Boly made his first minutes in December in the Coupe de France against Fontenay, playing 29 minutes before leaving due to injury. Since then, he has primarily played with the youth teams, distinguishing himself particularly in the Youth League.
With 45 appearances across all competitions this season and one assist, David Boly is attracting the attention of many recruiters. FC Barcelona is particularly impressed by his profile, considering him one of the most promising in his position in Europe. However, Paris Saint-Germain maintains control over this matter. To hope to attract the young defender, the Blaugranas will have to negotiate firmly with a Parisian club reluctant to sell one of its most followed prospects.
