OL decided to bet on Martin Satriano to ignite their attack last summer, but the Uruguayan flopped. His comeback is spectacular, and will earn him a nice transfer. Praised for its fairness and efficiency, the summer market of OL will remain in the memories as it allowed the team to strengthen with voluntary, cheap and performing players. On the number of players recruited with small means, there have necessarily been failures. Martin Satriano, loaned with an obligatory purchase option by RC Lens at the last minute to replace Georges Mikautadze, was an investment that made sense. Young promising arrived very early in Europe on the side of Inter Milan, he had shown a certain adaptation to Ligue 1 with Brest. Less happy at Lens, the Uruguayan had the profile to relaunch at OL. But his passage was catastrophic, with a mystical double against Nantes then no other goal in Ligue 1 in 12 appearances in total. Despite his efforts and good will, Martin Satriano was invited to find a new club as of January 1. He managed to rebound at Getafe, scoring six goals including one that made a lot of noise to offer the club from the Madrid suburbs a win over Real in the derby. Totally conquered, Getafe let go 6.5 million euros to sign him, allowing OL to make a white operation since he arrived for 6 ME (5 ME of transfer and 1 ME of paying loan). But for Getafe, it will not be a white operation since Estadio Deportivo claims that, despite his contract signed until 2030 in the suburban club, Satriano is well on his way to join Venice, promoted to Serie A and very ambitious. A sum of 10 million euros is mentioned for the Uruguayan, which would make the Spanish club happy. A great comeback for the 25-year-old striker, who seemed to be in free fall at OL and who managed to relaunch in a few months only in Liga. As for his recruitment by Matthieu Louis-Jean, it was not a bad idea, even if Satriano never managed to find his marks at the Groupama Stadium.
